  • The winners will be chosen by a random number generator. They will have 24 hours to confirm with their address. The first number wins the Holmes Version, the second number wins the Watson Version.
  • We will ship anywhere in the world. (NOTE: Because this version has tea in it, we know certain countries won’t allow it being shipped in. If that is the case for the winner, it will be replaced with something else)
  • You cannot win both versions of the giveaway.
  • You do not have to be following us, however, this is a present to our followers and listeners, so it’s appreciated. Plus we do really cool things like interview Sherlock cast and authors and chat about Sherlock Holmes all the time!
  • If you are following us and win, you’ll get an extra special gift on top of all of this!
  • Any questions, naturally just ask. We’d prefer if you’d send an ask not anonymously so we can reply privately and not clog up people’s dashes.

Vaguely Confused/Misguidedly Confident: I’m reading too much in to this I know I am

But…something has been really bugging me about the Avengers movie. After seeing it six times now I’m starting to notice little things that bug me. For example, forehead rubbing and moments of strangeness.

Most of the characters seems to have a moment of “woah” in…

That and most importantly it gets Loki and the Tesseract back on Asgard. The Bifrost is fucked, Asgard is isolated, as Loki said to Thor; “how much dark energy did the all father have to muster to get you here?” and Thor needs the tesseract to get back to Asgard. I think part of this was just one major ploy to get himself back home for some reason. Why that is I have no idea while trying to get the Chitauri off his ass, he used them to get to Earth, to get Thor’s attention, this whole thing was never about taking over earth, it was about getting home.

Because if nothing else, Loki loves Asgard. Not like Odin or Thor or the Warriors Three; his love for it isn’t tidy or pure. It’s burning and messy and tangled but that doesn’t make it less real.

But…something has been really bugging me about the Avengers movie. After seeing it six times now I’m starting to notice little things that bug me. For example, forehead rubbing and moments of strangeness.

Most of the characters seems to have a moment of “woah” in the movie, stay with me for a moment. Loki walks past Banner in the lab when he’s brought in, Banner pauses and starts rubbing his forehead, Tony does the same thing when everyone is in the lab fighting just before the shot of Loki’s staff, Steve does the same thing at one point, along with the same scene Thor’s line “you people are so petty and tiny” where he’s laughing. All of these shots seem just a little out of place if anyone catches my drift, as if there just isn’t something right for a moment with each character. Coupled together with the fact at the end of the movie Loki seemed to give up far too easy, I’m pretty sure that Loki has been playing everyone all together, that this “loss” wasn’t a loss for him and he has in fact put everyone exactly where he wants them. I don’t know the line “If its okay with you I think I’ll have that drink now” just seems far too relaxed, Loki looks almost content in that shot.

I think he’s been playing everyone the entire movie.

I definitely agree with you. For me the major clue is that the Chitauri treat Loki like scum and Loki is nothing if not proud. Therefore he was never actually gonna turn over the Tesseract. Some people have even larger Xanatos Gambit theories; but mine is actually quite simple.

Loki has won as soon as he is sent to Earth. If he wins the battle, he becomes a king with a huge power source to expand with. Note that I don’t think wanting the Earth is a distraction or anything - Loki only ever wanted to be Thor’s equal, ruling Earth would be a step towards that. But if he loses, he returns to Asgard with a Thor who, despite everything, sees him as a brother. He lives to fight another day, freed from the Chitauri.

For him it’s win/win. And he gets to have fun whilst at it.

I was just straightening my hair, and took off my glasses, deciding I could perform such a task without them. The recklessness, I hear you say! The sheer AUDACITY.

Indeed, my friends. The burn on my left ear agrees with you.

Blind as a bat 2k12.

Honey, you okay?
